The November 2013 issue of ARCHnews, the newsletter for the East Bay Chapter of AIA (American Institute of Architects), has one of our photos on the cover page. The building illustrated is a truck leasing facility in San Leandro, photographed for both the architect, Thornton Weiler, and the general contractor Shaddle Construction. This is a good example of how multiple parties can benefit by sharing the cost of a photo shoot. I also wrote about this in an earlier blog entry where I talked about how planning for a photo shoot can help turn a mundane building into something interesting.
The annual REMMIES award banquet took place on October 16 and a number of our clients took home awards. We’d particularly like to congratulate FMS Projects, HDR Remodeling, Leff Construction and Podesta Construction. We’ve put up a gallery of some of award winning entries that represent our work. The REMMIES is an awards program sponsored by the San Francisco Bay Area chapter of NARI. The event encompasses three chapters, including the North Bay and Diablo Valley. This year we had a record turnout with over 150 people at the banquet with a good turnout from all three chapters. Â The photograph shown here represents a new home built by Leff Construction.
