Treve just returned from his annual fall color safari, and it looks like he caught the color in the Eastern Sierra at the peak. Here’s an image captured just east of Sonora Pass on Highway 108, with the aspen in full color and the mountains in the background. You can see more of the images from his trip here. The fall color trip included a drive through Yosemite going over Tioga Pass, a visit to Bishop Creek and North Lake and a return trip over Sonora Pass. The aspen were putting on quite a show above 8000 feet, with color below that elevation yet to develop. Treve also captured several panoramic images which we’ll be adding to the gallery shortly.
Through the month of March you can see Treve’s work at the Fastframe store in Lafayette. The work on exhibit includes several new landscape panoramas, including a winter scene taken during a snowstorm in the High Sierra. Treve will be holding court at the store between 4pm and 6 pm on March 28. The store is located at 3571 Mt Diablo Boulevard
On September 9 we had our first adventure in selling artwork in a street fair. This event took place on Solano Avenue, sponsored by the Solano Avenue Association. We had on display a number of Treve’s larger panoramas plus a number of small items including note cards, tote bags and prints. Many of these items are now available in our on-line store. In this picture you see Joann, Treve’s wife, handing one of our promotional post cards to a passer-by.
The Solano Stroll is on September 9, running from 10 to 6 We’ll be in front of Jim’s Sewing Center, 1587 Solano Ave. near Ordway. Keeping with the theme of Going Green, we’re selling canvas tote bags, which are a great alternative to “paper or plastic.” The totes feature Treve’s photography. We’re also selling note cards and photographic fine art prints in a range of sizes and prices. Items are available for sale at our online store.
