We recently collaborated with Emily Olman and  Hopscotch Interactive to provide high resolution panoramic images to use in conjunction with her Matterport camera. The Matterport has a laser scanner that can create a 3D model of a space. It’s quite an intriguing technology and we were curious to see how it works. Emily needed high resolution photographic images in addition to the Matterport results. I took my panoramic rig along to capture the full 360 VR photos. Here’s a lower resolution representation of one of the images.
Here’s an image we captured while on a photo shoot in Tiburon for Studio Green. John Merton of Studio Green wanted to capture with pool, and the glass fence with the city of San Francisco in the background. We decided the best way to capture this would be to work at dusk so that we could show off the pool and garden with the lights. We also created several panoramas to capture more of the yard, you can view one of those panoramas here.
Here’s a recent scan from an images that was captured on film some years ago. The original was captured with a 6×17 camera which produces a huge negative. The image was converted to a digital file and is now available for prints or other uses. You can click here to zoom in to see the details. Reports are that this week the poppies at the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve are at their prime. This image was captured near Gorman, not far from Interstate 5.
