We’d like to say congratulations to one of our clients, HDR Remodeling for taking the 2019 Contractor of the Year award from NARI, the National Association of the Remodeling Industry. We’d like to think our photography was instrumental in winning the award. This award is for an ADU, an Accessory Dwelling Unit. These projects are becoming quite popular in the San Francisco Bay Area where there is a high demand for housing. You can read more about this project on HDR’s website. We’ve photographed several ADU projects for HDR as well as those for several other clients.
The Bay Area Remodeling Awards for 2018 were announced on Wednesday evening April 11. The awards represent entries submitted by three chapters on NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry): San Francisco Bay Area, North Bay and Diablo Valley. A total of 19 awards were presented. We feel our photography was well represented with six projects representing six clients winning seven awards. One of the projects took the Judges’ Choice award in addition to winning in it’s own category.
Congratulations to Design Set Match, HDR Remodeling, The Architects Office, Leff Construction and Podesta Construction. The following photos represent each of the winning projects:

We’d like to give a shout out to several of our clients, Leff Construction Design/Build, Wilkinson Design+Construction, and the Architects office for taking awards at the 2017 Bay Area Remodeling Awards. Every year the San Francisco chapter of NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry) hosts an event to acknowledge the top remodeling projects in the Bay Area, inviting members of the San Francisco, Diablo Valley and North Bay chapters to participate.  This year NARI partnered with Modern Luxury Interiors Magazine to help facilitate the event. High quality photography is essential to preparing an award winning entry and we’d like to think our photography helped influence the judges.
We’d like to congratulate two of our clients, The Architects office and Leff Construction for winning awards at the Bay Area Remodeling awards on Wednesday April 26th. The Architects office took the top award for an Entire House $250,000 to $500,000 range. The photo above shows the view from the deck.  Leff Construction Design/Build took top award for Entire House Over $1,000,000. The annual REMMIES award banquet took place on October 16 and a number of our clients took home awards. We’d particularly like to congratulate FMS Projects, HDR Remodeling, Leff Construction and Podesta Construction. We’ve put up a gallery of some of award winning entries that represent our work. The REMMIES is an awards program sponsored by the San Francisco Bay Area chapter of NARI. The event encompasses three chapters, including the North Bay and Diablo Valley. This year we had a record turnout with over 150 people at the banquet with a good turnout from all three chapters.  The photograph shown here represents a new home built by Leff Construction.

It’s time to rise and shine and get to work on making 2011 a productive and profitable year. We photographed this bedroom recently for a new client, Lockwood Electric Company of Novato. One of Lockwood’s specialties is high end residential. The bedroom illustrated here features fluorescent lights to highlight the ceiling and LED down lights. Treve connected with Lockwood Electric through the North Bay chapter of NARI, the National Association of Remodeling Industries. Treve’s been involved with NARI for several years and has recently joined the Board of Directors for the San Francisco Chapter.
Here’s a project we photographed for Leff Construction of Sebastapol. The whole house had been remodeled and we spent a day and a half on this project photographing most of the interior spaces as well as some of the exterior spaces. We worked with Karen Ellis, the Marketing Director at Leff Construction. Karen was motivated to hire a professional photographer since Leff Construction is entering the project in design competitions. She is planning to submit this project to NARI for the Contractor of the Year (CotY) awards. Leff Construction focuses on green design. Karen says
we try to incorporate green practices in everything, and it can be quite subtle. Most appliances are energy star rated, the toilets are usually dual flush, and new windows are always energy-use reducing.
The architect on the project was Marylyn Standley, and Karen says
She’s really wonderful and a good friend.
The kitchen designer is James Blair, DreamSpace Designs. James joined us for the photo shoot and helped with staging and art direction. Having a good assortment of fresh flowers and produce really helps bring a kitchen to life. It doesn’t take much in the way of props, but I like to create an image where you feel like you can just step into the kitchen, and go to work.
